Master Maitreya - About Us

This web site was created in 1996 by Peter Luke, Margaret McElroy's ex-husband. Peter retired from the web site in 2001, and handed over to Ratna Colleru who became web master. Peter is still an advisor when needed on the site.

Margaret and her husband Alan now run the web site, and in 2006 chose to change the format of presentation which had been in force for 10 years, along with Tishelle Betterman of the Seattle Institute of Metaphysics and Yi Luo from Philadalphia, both Graduate students of Margaret, the new format was created. Ratna was still retained as web master of the site. Margaret and Alan now travel the world promoting the Maitreya web site and have a radio show titled "Sixth Sense" on KKNW 1150AM Contact Talk Radio ( www.contacttalkradio.com) every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 10am PST.

Margaret has been a channel and clairvoyant for 25 years, and has written for magazines, as well as newspapers. Also she has been a very successful radio clairvoyant. In 1999 she channeled a speech with Maitreya to a special group of spiritual people at the UN in New York. Margaret has written a number of books which are available on the web site, and travels around the world taking the Masters teaching. Also she is now an accomplished esoteric astrologer, and corporate clairvoyant/speaker.

Alan McElroy. Alan became a student of Margaret in March 2004. Neither of them knew of their alliance and feelings for each other until August 2004. In October 2004, Alan and Margaret started their path together, first in New Zealand, then Australia and finally in Seattle where Alan chose to live. Alan has always had a thirst for the metaphysical, before studying with Margaret, he had spent many years studying various forms of spirituality. Finding Maitreya's web site he says, "was like coming home, it resonated so strongly with me, and the simple writings spoke to me so clearly."

In 2006, along with another student of Margaret, he founded the Seattle Institute of Metaphysics in Tacoma WA, USA. Prior to his metaphysical path, Alan was an Engineer on a submarine in the US navy, he paid his way through business college by becoming a hairdresser, and still to this day keeps his talent intact because he is Margaret's personal hairdresser. A career in accountancy followed his college degree, and finally he founded his own business which he retired from in 2004 when he chose to work with Margaret. Alan has two children and keeps an active part in their lives.

Alan and Margaret married in a ceremony at the Seattle Institute of Metaphysics in July 2005. Maitreya channeled the words for the ceremony. Both Alan and Margaret have a passion for promoting the web site and working with Maitreya. Although they both now live in Seattle, he and Margaret return to Australia and New Zealand whenever they can to oversee the Australian school and for Margaret to visit her family and grandchildren.

Both of them now dedicate their lives to Maitreya's work. "It is our passion" Margaret has said. They have created the Australian Institute of Metaphysics with a retail gallery next to it, which is situated on Tamborine Mountain in Qld, Australia.

They also have some volunteers who help them with translations on the site. The Mastery of Life multi-media site is also done by a volunteer with much cost to himself. Without these volunteers you would not see the web site you see today.
